| Q. Where do all the parts come from??? |
| A. Mostly from local salvage
yards; we go at least once a week. We also "scrounge" at auctions,
garage sales, surplus centers, & sometimes people bring us their "junk." |
| |
| Q. How do you clean the stuff that's been sitting at the
bottom of the pile for a long time??? |
| A. Lots of elbow grease!! We
use an industrial strength cleaner that's recycle-able to remove the
grease & grime. A wire brush does the job on thick rust.

| Q. Why steel, & what's with all the gears & industrial
stuff??? |
| A. I've always been drawn to
metals, & steel has unlimited possibilities. The gears & bearings &
mechanical things fascinate me; they are little engineering marvels!
I'm not mechanically inclined at all, but I like using parts out of
engines & transmissions; seeing the little parts that make our world
go'round. |

| Q. What's with the name REFINERII? |
| A. I like the look of old
factories & refineries, & it kind of describes what we do; take things
that are going to be thrown away and 'refine' them into something else.

production work. |
| |
| Q. When did you start welding? (Amber) |
| A. Early spring of 2005; I'm still
new & learning lots every day. |
